Flexible office and activity space available at Bullion Hall, Chester-le-Street
For charities, voluntary and community organisations, social enterprises, public-sector and commissioned services.
Are you looking for a permanent base for your organisation - or an accessible neighbourhood location from which to deliver services closer to local people?
Bullion Hall currently has a range of office and activity space available. We are particularly interested in welcoming organisations and services whose work complements our community purpose.
Bullion Hall is an established and busy community centre used by hundreds of local people each week. Being based here offers more than four walls: it provides an opportunity to work from a familiar community setting, connect with local residents and build relationships with other organisations and services.
Flexible space to suit your organisation
Three adjoining rooms are currently available and can be occupied individually or combined:
Room | Approximate size |
Room 1 | 14.1m² |
Room 2 | 12.5m² |
Room 3 | 32.8m² |
Together the three rooms provide approximately 59.4m² of flexible accommodation. Connecting doors allow the space to be configured for different needs - for example offices plus a private meeting or consultation room, separate team spaces, training, group work or activities.
We also have Office 1, approximately 2.7m x 4.4m, providing a comfortable base for a small team of up to three people.
More than just office space
Rental charges include:
· utilities;
· cleaning;
· caretaking services; and
· access to our 34-space on-site car park.
Bullion Hall is staffed throughout its opening hours, offering the convenience and reassurance of working from an established, managed community building.
Our on-site Wait 'er While Café provides meals, snacks and refreshments, and catering can also be arranged for meetings and events.

Bring your service closer to the community
Bullion Hall could provide an ideal neighbourhood base for organisations wanting to deliver services closer to the people they serve.
We would particularly welcome enquiries from:
· charities and voluntary or community organisations;
· social enterprises;
· public-sector and commissioned services;
· health and wellbeing providers;
· employability, skills and training services;
· advice, information and support organisations; and
· outreach or community-based services.
For public-sector and commissioned services, Bullion Hall offers an opportunity to provide support in a familiar and welcoming neighbourhood setting already used by local residents.
For organisations working directly with local people, being based at Bullion Hall may also create opportunities for community engagement, partnership working, referrals and signposting between services.
A convenient Chester-le-Street location
Bullion Hall is less than five minutes' walk from Chester-le-Street railway station, less than ten minutes' walk from the town centre, and within easy reach of the A1(M) and A167.
Our 34-space on-site car park also makes the centre convenient for staff, volunteers, service users and visitors.
Rental arrangements
We offer preferential rental arrangements for charities and voluntary/community organisations.
Charges depend on the space required and proposed use and include utilities, cleaning and caretaking services. We would be happy to discuss your organisation's requirements and the accommodation that would work best for you.
Come and have a look
Sometimes the easiest way to decide whether a space is right is simply to see it. We would be delighted to show you around Bullion Hall and discuss how your organisation or service could fit within the building.
